Can you imagine walking for hours for water that leaves you sick? That is the reality for the students at Nyamabaare Primary School. They often miss precious hours of education due to walking hours only to retrieve dirty, contaminated water that leaves them sick and unable to go to school.

Join Acts for Water as we partner with Richmond Sunrise Rotary on Sunday, September 12th at 1:00 pm at Garry Point Fisherman’s Needle. In this family-friendly exercise in empathy, we will walk 3km for water to experience the reality that the students at Nyamabaare Primary School face daily.

This is a unique opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of what 1 in 4 Ugandans journey through each day to collect water. A journey that robs them of their health, their freedom, their dignity and opportunities of education, work and even relationships.

This is a FREE event that focuses on the experience of what a journey to collect water is like, but if you would like to donate a one-time gift then visit acts.ca/donate or visit acts.ca/donate-monthly to give a sustainable, reoccurring gift.
